Interview with Ghaida’a al-Absi
For the past year, Ghaida’a al-Absi has been leading citizen media workshops for female activists in Yemen as part of the Hand in Hand Initiative. The project called “Empowerment of Women Activists in Media Techniques [ar]” has been funded by the Rising Voices outreach arm of Global Voices Online.

2nd Arab Bloggers Meeting
8th / 12th December 2009 | Beirut
The Heinrich Boell Foundation and Global Voices are organizing the Second Arab Bloggers Meeting in Beirut from the 8th till the 12th of December 2009. This meeting is a follow-up to the First Arab Bloggers Meeting which took place in August last year in Beirut and was the first gathering of its kind, bringing together Arab bloggers to exchange experiences.
